Yeah, but just think how much bling they can buy with the money not invested in the team!

Performance is temporary, bling is permanent.

Few things sum up the pimps than having to rely on a one armed Noble.

Sorry Willtell. I have to completely disagree with you.

We have achieved what we have despite inadequate squad management and a neglectful lack of investment. Please don't make this out to be some sort of veiled masterstroke.

I am over the moon to be where we are but it doesn't detract from how this squad has been basically left to get on with it.

And if the current crop of injuries and knackered players don't get us into Europe then there will be only two people to blame.

Re: Next 7 Games are easy so let's get ahead of ourselves
I think a lot of you are underestimating the impact of injuries. No Cresswell, Rice, Antonio for several matches, probably no Ogbonna this weekend or at best one who's not match fit.. having Noble on the pitch at all and then having him with one dodgy arm... if we get a point this weekend I'll be relieved. If Moyes gets us into 4th with the players he now has available for the remaining matches he should be voted miracle worker of the year, never mind manager of the year.

Kylay Chelsea also have to play Brighton on Tuesday after the semifinal before they play us then The Champions League on the following Tuesday. Not a better time to play them

I'll never surrender to optimism.

As far as I'm concerned we're 3rd already. Shows a level of optimism totally unwarranted. After over 50 years you'd think I"d know better

"So Moyes has changed our system to protect Noble how?"

he's playing an extra CB, which gives Noble extra protection and allows Soucek to continue playing his box to box role (even though he was drawn deeper against Leicester). do you even watch the games?

Re: Next 7 Games are easy so let's get ahead of ourselves
It's true that we have coped well with injuries, at least so far, but one look at our bench tells you we have a weak squad which does need improving.

Willtell

Your instinct here is to have a go at the fans in order to big up the board. And all this from France.
That says it all, mate.

No no no! I never said anyone was right least of all GSB!

I merely said that it proves that "fans know sweet FA!"

Hell of a difference fraser...

Re: Next 7 Games are easy so let's get ahead of ourselves
Ag ag ag!

Don't let reality get up and bite you in the arse Miike. So Moyes has changed our system to protect Noble how?

I repeatedly say how much I dislike GSB but you keep making up your own stories to fit your stupidity. The difference between us is I know that they are there until they get a good offer.

How's your plan to get them thrown out going Miike? Going well is it?

Re: Next 7 Games are easy so let's get ahead of ourselves
We have no striker back up, no adequate left back and maybe no midfielder for Newcastle, if Noble is fit we have to play a certain formation as we have no choice and Willtell thinks they were right FMOB

Re: Next 7 Games are easy so let's get ahead of ourselves
Noble's done ok because they've changed the system to protect him, we still need a more mobile option and we still need a striker. You just can't help kissing the board's arse, can you? a creepy board loving cunt

Re: Next 7 Games are easy so let's get ahead of ourselves
Thinking back to January and the daily screams on WHO for a striker, LB and CM proved that fans know sweet FA!

Lingard wasn't a good replacement for Haller; Cresswell and Masuaku were useless or liabilities and Noble couldn't adequately replace Rice or Soucek. My what a difference a few weeks make...

Re: Next 7 Games are easy so let's get ahead of ourselves
I believe the Chelsea game will be their fifth game 14-days, one of which is the CL quarterfinal 2nd leg and one is the FA cup semi. Assuming they go through, they'll have the first leg of the CL semi's 3 days later.

Have to believe they'll be a bit leggy for that one.Of course, we may not be able to field a team at the rate we are picking up injuries.

Newcastle (a) 1 - 2
Chelsea (h) 1 - 1
Burnley (a) 0 - 2
Everton (h) 2 - 0
Brighton (a) 1 - 1
West Brom (a) 0 - 1
Southampton (h) 3 - 0

17 points + 55 = 72

If we have 58 points on the table come Saturday afternoon, the whole paradigm changes.

Ask again then.
